Actually they declined when Adonis refused to guarantee that he would fight Kovalev next remember HBO said the would match as long as the next fight was Kovalev Stevenson would not commit to fighting Kov after Fonfara is why HBO did not match.. why should they overpay for the bum fight tonight just to see stevenson bolt to SHO after.

Stevenson's duck here is not obvious since he can fight for more money and get a more prestigious fight against Hopkins if he wins tonight.

Let's play it straight. The elephant in the room is the fact that Stevenson doesn't want to jeopardize his earnings potential by mixing it up with Kovalev right now. He may do so in the future, but I'm not sold on it(based on recent history).

Yes. Most likely because Martinez, at 39 and coming off major surgery is done at his best. The guy has also not shown at any point in his history that he shies away from challenges. In short, he has earned some benefit of the doubt based on his history. I see Cotto as an easy fight for Martinez. Not a dangerous fight at all in my eyes. Unless his knee gives out during the fight, I see him KOing Cotto. Martinez might retire win or lose.
