    WBC/Ring champion Adonis Stevenson pretty much has his next tow fights lined up with bouts against Dmitry Sukhotsky and Jean Pascal on the horizon. The knockout artist did however real that he would be interested in facing former middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in the future.

    "Of course I want that fight. Chavez is a good boxer and he signed with Al Haymon which is a good thing. He talks about a Froch fight but I know pretty soon he will be at 175. So when that day happens I would love to fight him. It isn't a problem," said Stevenson.

    As for his fight on December 19th against Sukhotsky, Stevenson would only say that he plans on winning the fight by knockout.

    "Superman is going to win by knockout. Knockout! Knockout! Emanuel Steward told me that knockouts sell and I am going to win by knockout," Stevenson told ************



    Yet no mention of Kovalev ! :patsch

    The reporter asked him about fighting Chavez Jr and he's right, of course he'd want that fight. Might make more money fighting Chavez Jr than he would Kovalev. Don't see too much wrong with this.

    Chavez jr is a super middleweight Adonis is the current light HW champ the only thing worthy is unification!

    I agree he's pathetic but yeah, as the guy above said it's not like he's chasing that fight, he was answering the question.

    I mean it's like if you asked someone if they liked steak and they said yes then went around telling everyone that person doesn't like chicken.

    To be fair, I'm not a Stevenson supporter, just saying this quote appears to be taken out of context.

    If it makes dollars, then it makes sense.

    Easy fight and among the if not the highest paying around his division.

    As a fan who wants the best match ups it sucks but anyone who is surprised or legitimately upset is very naive.

    Oh dear, another example of how bad boxing has become, the best avoiding the best. Rather than saying no thanks Chavez is a weight lower than me, he wants it for the money. Yes there is nothing wrong with getting money, but he should have a Kov fight setup after the Pascal one.

    I hope Kov doesn't go the way of the other supposed "best boxers" around and avoids the best for pay days. But I have faith in Kov, I hope he forces Stevenson into a unification bout. If he does this then he will become my new favourite boxer.

    It's pathetic that Kovalev wanted a 50 year old to fight.

    Stevenson is fighting guys younger than him and I commend him for that.
