    He was at 168 same time last year. Moved up to beat the lineal LHW champ, called out Ward in a 2 fight deal (168 in Oakland, 175 in Montreal). Ward post-super-six-Bute'ed him and said he hadn't earned that fight yet. Go figure, the E-Rod fight was not even being discussed at the time, Ward was wide open.

    Are you saying he's not lineal LHW champ?

    I would love to actually see this fight. It would be highly popular with the fans and makes sense in terms of both legacy and money. Looks like a fair fight too - one fight in each man's hometown and category.

    Could this be what Stevenson is focusing on and a reason why he is evasive about the Kovalev fight?

    That's one confusing OP. Initiatially I though, he meant Adonis to be the best current LHW which you can make very well a case for because he's got the arguably best wins at that weight in the last 2 years. The best P4P though? Better than Mayweather, Ward, Rigo? What the hell am I reading?
