Stevenson not fighting until July

I had a strong feeling that Rodriguez was going to get dropped by Seales in that first round within seconds of the first bell ringing. I've been keeping a close eye on the LHW division for a few years now and I'd read a few bits and pieces about Seales and I knew he was meant to pack a big punch. And then when I saw the way Rodriguez came out of the gates so recklessly looking to score an early KO, I kept thinking to myself he's going to get caught with something silly here if he's not careful.

I did too, I pressured the guy who makes the fight list in Kirk's thread for that entire month to add that fight, because I was thinking the same thing, and he didn't.

 

Rodriguez was so close to losing in that first round. That second KD was ridiculous. It was almost cartoonish. No way he would've not lost that had he happened earlier in the round. That was a massive shot and he walked right into it

 

That was a sickening shot, I'm amazed the muscles weren't literally torn from his skull with it, I have no idea how he took it and was able to gather himself by the net round, that shot would have put a lot of guys in the hospital.

One of the best of last year, its a pity E-Rod didn't go after Ward like that, maybe he'd have been more successful, if Kovalev goes after Ward like that, it'll be round 12 of Kovalev-Hopkins all over again.

 

Yeah it was lights out kind of shot. It looks even more brutal in slow motion.

 

He was walking around at 217lbs prior to moving up to 175.
