Would be a great fight. I'd pick Kovalev but wouldn't rule out Stevenson. What I would rule out is this fight going to the cards.
Check! Max is not paying his bills. You know that as well as I do and while HBO pays him to do interviews, they don't pay him to harass fighters.( ask Larry Merchant ) Like I said, there is more than one way to get information.
Correct.:good He is making a decision based on Green$ not fear and not ducking. Why not be smart and bank some cash, hell he has fought more this year than Floyd has in the past 3yrs, then risk it all with the Krazy Kovalev :hey :smoke
So Bad Chad is a girlie man?:huh Yes Superman was a pimp and keeping his women in line was part of the job requirements ....."Oh he was a hit man and killed people"atsch Let the man make some real cash before Grandfather Time cripples his a...ss:nut I do not condone pimps :smoke
He is. Kovalev is monster puncher, but he also has skills on offense and defense, durability, and smarts. IMO, he should be viewed as a pound for pound type of talent once he fights either Hopkins, Ward, or Stevenson.
Much larger? How about the fact Stevenson was at 168 for years and years? Simple as. Kovalev is still unknown in QC compared to Froch & Hopkins. Again, a small minority of people in attendance actually understood the meaning of the interview. People actually don't care for **** about HBO over in QC. A vast majority of people there cannot watch a show in English.
It's ok for other fighters to take money fights once they get to the top. Why can't Stevenson? Bute vs Pascal will do decent money in Candada. Stevenson vs the winner will do even more. Stevenson vs Froch would also do decent money. Kovalev vs Stevenson? Well, why risk cutting your other pay days when you can fight Kovalev later next year, after making money. I think it can be cooked a little more.
Stevenson did call out Ward after his fight with Dawson, but Ward did not answer him...........Stevenson also said he would go down to 168, but again Ward did not respond. Ward's referee, judges, boxing commission and home town, yet he is still afraid?!
