well according to yvon michel, they would like to have a rematch with fonfara before he fights the winner of pascal/kovalev......seriously, if al haymon is choosing his fights then its clear al haymon is just milking the easy fights knowing he loses when he fights winner of kovalev/pascal......this is just rediculous, a real embarassment to any champion belt holder, even the nabf belt holder

Andre Dirrell would outpoint Stevenson .

Too much skill/talent for Stevenson to overcome .

Personally I believe that Stevenson doesnt want anything to do with Kovalev but Fonfara put him on his ass and made it a good fight.

With Pascal and Kovalev tied up theres only really few fighters out there for stevenson

    Monaghan, Alvarez or Fonfara

Alvarez has been talked up behind the scenes for a while so thats a fight that could be good . . . however Alvarez hasnt beaten anyone of note. other than Mcintosh who was a euro level fighter at his best and a washed up Miranda i cant see anyone on his resume that i recognize

Monaghan on the other hand is 23-0 but has fought no one of note other than Elvir Muriqi which isnt that impressive considering he is a guy that Caparello beat and even lost to Clinton Woods a while ago in an IBF eliminator . . . . im sorry but looking into his record he hasnt done anything

Fonfara is actually the most qualified considering he has Campillo and Johnson on his record not to mention the first fight with Adonis and also a few names like Byron Mitchell and Tommy Karpency

Who knows Fonfara might actually win this time, hes shown he can hurt Stevenson and has come the closest to beating him since Darnell Boone. Why not give him another crack?

the winner of the pascal-kovalev fight must fight mohamedi before facing Stevenson....Adonis will have to wait until September to fight the winner what do you expect him to do?fonfara is a good fight...the only fighter I would rather see him fight is braemer but lets be honest braemer would get his ass kicked!and is hiding in Germany and ask for way too much money

I don't think the Fonfara rematch is that bad, in fact I said on another thread basically the same thing you are here. I was just listing other decent opponents who would make for a relatively tough fight, maybe even have a good shot at winning.

But stop deluding yourself Beterbiev was not put on his ass, he was pushed while moving backwards and was barely punched, his amateur experience is better than the majority of people Adonis has fought as a pro, Artur is more than ready even at this early stage, in fact Adonis may not make it out of the first round.

Gvozdyk was 9-0 at the WSB which basically pro to add to his 4 pro wins. And he is skilled enough a fighter to give Adonis a tough fight already.

The glass jaw Andre Dirrell who was almost knocked out by a journeyman last saturday and chicken dancing all over the ring after a hard punch on his china jaw yeah right. As soon as this disgrace steps up he'll have to pay another visit to Dr Shaw Hi.

dirrell is southpaw and no southpaw can beat Stevenson because he can land his left cross on the temple against them and that punch is instant ko!

    Because the fight wasn't competitive.

Stevenson won the first 8 rounds, dropped Fonfara twice, then lost the 9th hitting the deck before winning the rest of the fight.

    It's another garbage defense.

Ok take Monaghan and Alvarez instead. outside of those two Fonfara isnt exactly Rod Salka

Better yet what about little known Erik Skoglund?

Recently beat Glen Johnson and also Lolegna Mock (the guy that dropped David Haye at cruiser a long time ago) and is the European light heavyweight champion

Skoglund barely beat Johnson, Glen was robbed. Skoglund would offer nothing for Adonis, Monaghan and Alvarez you like because they have some name recognition but aren't a threat in any way to Adonis.

You don't like the idea of Edwin Rodriguez who can still easily make LHW, yet while he's inconsistent nobody has been able to bomb out Grachev and Findley in one round, he'd be a serious threat to Adonis. Elbiali's last fight was a LHW he goes back and forth, huge puncher's chance the kid hits like a LHW Tyson. I just want someone who a chance to KO Adonis and highly doubt Fonfara is capable of it.
