Both HBO and Showtime were interested in a Stevenson fight a couple of months ago, according to his promoter. You know, ala Edison Miranda, a very powerful guy destroying everything on his way... until he faces a real opponent.

 

Stevenson is with GYM and he was trained by Emmanuel Steward before he passed away.

 

I can see Show jumping on this but not HBO.

 

You don't stay No 1 by fighting opponents out of their weight and avoiding fighters the last guy you beat take on. Are you a Floyd fan by any chance?

Fact is most casuals and most people here are more interested in what Froch does next, despite Ward being more skilled. Ward couldn't draw flies outside of Oakland, and his fans talk like his legacy is complete while mocking the very fighters his legacy will be built on. Skills do not pay the bills in Ward's case, his inactivity will be counted against him, especially while the other big guns in the division duke it out between themselves.

 

Froch vs Kessler II has the priority. Froch can vacate his IBF title and rematch with Kessler.
