I think Froch would be better off vacating. He's got to the point now that he doesn't need a belt to prove he's No. 2 in the division...and people want to see him rematch Kessler far more than fight this ****er.

Well Froch can vacate to try to make the fight with Kessler but they waited to much to ask for the derogation (they hhad till Dec 26 i think) so Stevenson will fight for the IBF title this spring , Froch or Oosthuizen.

We will have more news after 10AM

US time in Montréal. That's why i know the they have a deal with Froch yet but to say that they IBF will ask Froch to defend or drop the belt

Like they explain here , Stevenson and Froch would have till the 15th to get the deal done , Stevenson promotor said they would be agressive in the negociation since they will be back-up from showtime or HBO to ahve the fight in Canada. If the negociation doesn't work with Froch they already have a deal with Oosthuizen to have the fight in Connecticut in Marsh.

I think a title fight unification has the priority in front of a defending title fight , so I think the Stevenson fight will be made after the Froch vs Kessler rematch.

Well kind of disapointing news , i thoug we would have more but eh!

So purse bid on january 15th for Froch-Stevenson , like i wrote earlier GYM will be agressive so they want the fight to take place in Montréal. Froch could drop the belt though.

The IBF would probably have accept a derogetion for the unification but Hearns **** up by thinking he had till February 2th when the limit was January 2. If Froch drop the belt then GYM alrasy have a deal with Oosthuizen to fight for the IBF title in the USA in Marsh!

yep. I think it will be Froch vs Kessler II ? first and then Froch vs Bute rematch regardless if the IBF title will be on the line or not.

the problem right here is not the IBF ( **** these pointless straps :D ) but Kessler's promoter , which I think is a small version of Bobfather :yep
