Stevenson is getting old and wants a big payday while he is on a good run and while he still can. And there's no bigger one than Bute. He wants it badly.

How did beating a bum like Marcus Johnson prove that anyone is the real deal? LOL

Adonis has a punchers chance but Tommy will beat him...I pretty sure about that

Now if only Tommy can tighten up that damn defence!!!(Or atleast get one)

Stevenson is rated 2nd by the IBF Edwin Rodriguez is rated 3rd shouldnt this be the logical match-up, Oosthuizen is rated 7th by the IBF.

If you believe Emmanuel Steward Rodriguez's people want nothing to do with this fight. So I guess they are looking elsewhere. Also I imagine Oosthuizen will be moving up.

I agree he's looking for the bute payday but I think there are easier ways for him to get there then fighting a 6'4'' counter puncher that will take the levarage off Stevenson's power punches. Oozthuizen's got too many demensions for Steveson right now. Unless he picks up his boxing ability he'll get knocked out....again....

I like TO, but Stevenson's punchers chance is really all he needs vs a guy like TO, ERod or whoever. He is what he is, and that is a beast of a puncher.
He may walk into a R hand and end up KOd again at some point, but it's not likely vs TO or ERod.....Bute, Froch, Kessler or Abraham might be able to get it done though.

The fact that Stevensons 34 aint in his favor though, so some high activity is the direction he needs to go and he shouldnt focus on Bute alone. Steiglitz holds a title as does Ward and likely Dirrel soon, so he might want to consider other options as well, b/c Bute is gonna want Ward or Steiglitz next....he's not due to fight a mandatory until May of 2013 and even then, the IBF will allow him some leeway if he picks up the WBC, WBA or WBO and fights a mandate there. I'm sure they're in no hurry to strip their 2nd most prestigious champion.

Tommy is a smart fighter, he knew Marcus couldn't hurt him. If anyone thinks he will stand and mix it up with Stevenson, they must be out of their mind. His gameplan will be more like the Sierra fight. He went in, quick combo and out again. Sierra barely laid gloves on him. That slow ass Stevenson has no chance. Watch this space.

I saw Johnson land lead rights that were slower than most of Stevenson's straight lefts. :think :hey

He didn't know **** and Marcus hurt him in the 1st. Oosthuizen fanboys might be more misinformed or dumber than Pac fans.

So, DiBella told Michel he had "other plans" and that Tommy was going "another route". Verbatim 'rejected' the fight, which would give the winner the IBF mando status.

    Duck?
