    On point as usual Rummy!

Pretty much the same as I had it - 116-112, with Shakur managing to adjust and get into centre ring in round 6 and change the momentum of the fight.

Clear, but competetive win for Shakur

@Rumsfeld your prediction turned out to be very accurate to what transpired in the fight! Well done. I’m glad the fight turned out to be entertaining from start to finish. I also had it the same 8-4 Shakur. He really made a statement performance and proved his doubters wrong. Well played to him. Zepeda was game throughout but just couldn’t make the adjustment after halfway in and was more and more predictable as it went on. Still a well fought match where Zepeda pushed Shakur and forced him to dig deep which ended up paying off in the end.

@CST80 what did you think of Shakur’s performance and do you give him full credit for beating Zepeda the way he did?

One of the best things about this fight is that Zepeda was good enough and to force Stevenson to fight. It gave us a chance to see that Shakur does, in fact, have heart and the willingness to fight in the pocket. Full disclosure, I did not get to watch the fight live and scoring any fight after you know the results can be skewed by that knowledge. That being said, I did have it 116-112 Stevenson. While Zepeda was still landing on Stevenson in the last seven rounds the punches were, for the most part, without much substance.

Considering the fact that I scored it for Zepeda, clearly not.

I’m not a fan of Shakur and I think he needs to be humbled but gotta give him his dues even if you did score it for Zepeda. He actually stood his ground, didn’t run away, wasn’t being overly defensive, and actually threw more punches with mean intent. Zepeda helped bring the best out of Shakur and the fight turned out to be exciting. I personally wouldn’t mind seeing a rematch considering how competitive it was.

Thanks for mentioning the judges. There really need to be consequences to bad scorecards. The way the fight evolved they didn't do much harm but had the fight continued like in the first rounds zepeda would have been badly robbed. Scoring only one round to zepeda is criminal.
These judges fill me with a tension and I feel like I have to score the fight myself while watching and then hope there is no funny business...
