That's one more reason I'd like the Bute-Froch fight to be announced this week. There is a gulf of disparity in terms of skills between Bute & Stevenson.

    http://netboxe.com/rep1/quebec.php

"En point de presse, le promoteur Yvon Michel a confirmé qu'à défaut d'en venir à une entente pour la présentation du combat entre Bute et Carl Froch, qui se trouve actuellement en négociation, le champion Lucian Bute serait tenu d'affronter Adonis Stevenson. "

-During the post fight presser, promoter Yvon Michel (who also promotes Jean Pascal) confirmed that if an agreement could not be reached regarding a Bute-Froch fight, which is currently pending negotiations, champion Lucian Bute would be forced to face Adonis Stevenson.

What do you guys think? Would limited Superman have a chance at finding Bute? Is Stevenson the new David Lemieux in Montreal?

    :think

He a strong puncher but comes in a strait line and against a counter puncher i dont believe he would look as good, my only worry is that with his power he can suprise any one with one devastating punch and lights out.

A lot of fe-fans in QC are calling for Bute to look at making big domestic fights instead of going for Ward or Froch. Nonsense.

Bute has bigger fish to fry, this fight would hurt his credibility. Big step down from Johnson, look at Stevenson's defense & footwork.

    Ridiculous match-up.

    Make Bute vs Froch.

It's not as if Bute will lose to Carl.

So, Kessler-Abraham in the works is pure speculation?? It's... "reaching"?

    Let's wait & see.

Bute already said he's not fighting him because he is unknown and everybody will say he fight another "jambon" (tomato-can)

I know, but it gives Froch/Hearn leverage, if money was a point left in the balance for contract signing.

As in, "Hey Jean, you know if you don't sign with us, the IBF and GYM will force local pimp Stevenson upon Bute, right?"...

It makes sense financially if Abraham calls it a career afterwards.

You're in denial, you want Kessler-Ward II soooo much. :?

Pitting your two greatest drawingcards against each other while both have plenty of other options would be financially idiotic.
