He looks dangerous in the first 6 rounds, but he gasses after that.

Stevenson's only deadly with his left. You neutralize it and he's not that powerful. Once he gasses, his punches are slow. Even worst, he pulls back with his hands down.

Which brings us to his lousy habit of keeping his right hand low, getting tagged over and over again by Fonfara. Combine the 3 weakness and he's a brutal KO waiting to happen. He's not a smart fighter at all, just physically gifted.

This fool is right to run from Kovalev. Stevenson would get KO'ed brutally. Kovalev is not only the smarter fighter, he's also the better boxer and better offensive fighter.

keeping his hands low isn't a weakness he's a counter puncher. lot of boxing trainers teach people like this it isn't a flaw

JMM is a much better counter puncher and he doesn't keep his hands low.

And it's a HUGE weakness. That's how you get beaten to the punch. That's how you get knocked out by straight right hands. Watch round 9 and and see how Fonfara take advantage of that weakness. He's so wide open.

it obviously had nothing to do with Fonfara walking him down and landing on Stevenson more than anyone ever has in his career

It has everything to do with it. That's the point. Fonfara is a slow fighter with a b-level offense and he was able to take advantage. Kovalev is much better fighter than Fonfara and he will take advantage every time Stevenson pulls straight back with his hands down.

Unlike Fonfara, Kovalev is an expert at finishing fighters once he has them hurt.

As a southpaw, keeping the lead had low is an issue when you don' have the footwork and head movement to escape the left hook. He gets hit with it over and over. The hand position isn't the issue, but it doesn't help him.

Martinez has both hands at his waist, but due to footwork and head movement he's tough to catch. Stevenson isn't that good.

Can't wait for the BHop fight. Hopkins is so slick and crafty. However, I would worry in the first 4-5 rounds for Hopkins. If he can make it out of there unscathed, I like his chances.

I didn't need to watch the Fonfara fight to know this. He also has a vulnerable chin and mediocre balance. I still think he's 50/50 against Kovalev though

Still hope he knocks out Bhop. But yeah Kovalev would eat him alive.

Even the Stevenson fans already know Kovalev is levels ahead of Fonfara

Al Haymon will make sure this fight doesn't happen that's why he's bad for boxing
