Steward: "I will make Cotto go back to his old self"

Great to hear ..Im hoping it all comes together in the ring .

I still beleive Cotto is a special fighter he just happened to get mugged on the way up and still hasn't shaken that off !!Stewart is a good trainer when his student follows to the letter!

 

One thing I like about this match-up is that Manny is a bit jab happy, and Cotto has a tendency to abandon his jab. He has a great jab, and if Steward can get him to uses it like he should, that one factor would make a difference.

The other obvious things are defense against an uppercut, and for God's sake teach that boy to clinch.

 

A new top trainer pointing out his mistakes and correcting them can be the type of thing that really helps Cotto out psycologically. His attentiveness and willingness to learn shows he wants to overcome his issues, so I wish him the best.

Hes took 3 horrific beatings not 2. Clottey beat the crap out of him in my opinion.

Clottey didn't beat the crap outta him especially when comparing Cotto's fights Margarito & Pac. I feel he got robbed but no way did he give Cotto a "horrific beating".

 

Man hopefully he does, Cotto is one of my fav fighters..and i'd hate to see him go down even more in his career.

He's a big draw.
