Why should he go to the states?? Stewards no better than some Britsh trainers, Rob Mac will be good enough for him, just because they are American trainers dos'nt mean they are better, we have more world class trainers and boxers per head of population

Steward looks like a dream match up to me. Maybe get Fury jabbing his way to victory. Improve his conditioning.

I agree with what's been said though, give Rob Mac a chance first. He's a good trainer in his own right. And to reach domestic/euro level Rob Mac is as good as anyone. If he gets to that level then he should consider switching to Manny.

General question though, I suppose more aimed at ex fighters and trainers, is it good to change trainers now and again or do you get more from a long term relationship with the same (capable) trainer. Assuming one trainer is as good as the next (ie, no Buddy McGirt to be seen)?

Common sense tells me that it would be good for a young fighter to get as varied a training background as possible, take a little something from a number of good trainers before finding someone who you're comfortable with and then sticking with them for the long term...

Exactly, he needs to see whether he has it in the harsh environments of Stewards training.

I really hope this happens, as we have no one right now at HW.

And Steward has proven to be a great trainer, especially with HW's with a great reach advantage at HW.

Fury should take this opportunity. As good as Rob Mac may be, he doesn’t have the wealth of experience that Steward has. And Fury will get plenty of sparing partners, something he often claims he can’t get in the UK.
