cotto has been in some tuff fights over the years,so i was concerned about the same thing you all are concerned about,is he damaged because of those tough battles he was in. NOT ANYMORE. WHEN I WORKED WITH HIM IN 2 WEEKS I COULD NOT BELIEVE WHAT I SAW,HE LOOKED FANTASTIC,FROM WHAT I SEE AND ILL BE HONEST WITH YOU,IM SHOCKED,AFTER A FEW WEEKS HE WAS BOXING 10 12 ROUNDS NO PROBLEM,I FEEL EXTREMELY CONFIDENT HE WILL COME WITH A GREAT PERFORMANCE AND VICROTY COME JUNE 5TH. he also talks about how he talks 2 cotto alot and is showing him his past mistakes and habits especially his balance,he was not able 2 throw combinations well like before because his balance was off and his head was to low we have fixed that and above all he seems to have this inner desire from his fathers passing 2 win
The most dangerous fighter is a dedicated fighter that takes their training seriously and still has something in the tank. People would be foolish to write Cotto off and I think that he wins against Foreman. Not being biased because I'm a fan of his lol.
Cotto deserves a little more success before he hangs up his gloves. A true professional and conducts himself well outside the ring. I like the fact that he doesn't trash talk, shows up and gets the job done.
I also love that he never has an excuse for poor performances or losses. He accepts responsibility and moves on. Much like Corrales (RIP) use to.
i like how he handled the margo situation... he said something along the lines of... i dont know if he cheated against me but if he did then he should be held responsible and accept the punishment.
Cotto is a man in defeat and victory. Manny has also stated that Cotto fought Pac short. He was crouching down-therefore negating his height advantage.
it would be real cool if cotto could effectively change his style and come back in a big way again. in fact it would be awesome!
These are some of the reasons why he is my favourite too! I can't wait to see him against Foreman.. He seems a new fighter, with extra motivation..
Cotto is one of my favorite fighters, I truly hope he can come back and have more success. However, we will only know how much he has left when he step through them ropes. How many times have we heard of a fighter feeling rejuvenated in training camp and then fold in the ring. Let's hope this is not one of those occassions.
I don't think Foreman has been in the ring with anyone with the talent of Miguel Cotto, and I believe Steward would only have benefited him and his chances of victory.
