People can say all they want. I have never been huge on Duran. The guy was a great boxer... no doubt. However, he is EXTREMELY overrated. Possibly more than any fighter in history.

The man gets knocked out cold... has one of the greatest chins in history.

The man quits in the ring... he has more heart than anyone to ever lace up the gloves.

The man loses to all of the best fighters in his era... and he gets rated over all of them.

The man even lost to the best fighter that he ever fought at lightweight... and people will get coffee thrown in their face if they doubt he is the best 135 lber of all time. A legacy of beating extremely subpar competition at lightweight. He also had a FEW good wins at that weight... but by no means some amazing title reign at which he dispatched of great fighter after great fighter... it simply never happened.

Also, Duran was never too small for Welterweight, or even Jr. Middle. He had been weighing that for years naturally. Yeah, he started out light... and was young as hell. His body matured and he moved up in weight in normal fashion. Duran was weighing in for fights over 150 lbs as early as 1978. He would consistently weigh in over the Lightweight limit since the tail end of 1971. The difference was, once he started fighting the best fighters in the world... he consistently lost.

Steward also called Prince Naseem the best ever FW just before the Barrera fight, he can get a bit confused tbh.

Idiots like you are a prime example of why so many people want to see Pacquiao`s ass handed to him... you seriously take any fun whatsoever out of watching him.
The sooner Pac & Mayweather fight, the better as far as Im concerned, you ****s need put in your place, you are a disease on this forum.... a bunch of clueless ****s.

Ps. Roger has stated on numerous occassions that Ray Robinson is the best ever, he says Duran is the best of all Latino fighters.... stop making **** up to suit your agenda.

Pac has not yet faced the opposition that Duran did.

    Pac's greatest wins...

    Miguel Cotto
    Ricky Hatton
    Oscar De La Hoya
    Juan Manuel Marquez
    Marco Antonio Barrera 2x
Eric Morales 2x (also beat Pac)
    Joshua Clottey
    David Diaz
    Lehlohonolo Ledwaba

(I left out guys such as Oscar Larios, and Jorge Solis... who I also feel are very solid wins)

    Duran's greatest wins...

Sugar Ray Leonard (Who also beat Duran)
    Iran Barkley
Esteban DeJesus 2x (who also beat Duran)
    Ken Buchanan
    Pipino Cuevas
    Davey Moore

Can you do me a favor and show me where all of these other great wins by Duran are? You know... the wins that separate him so greatly from Pac, and prove that Pac was never on his level?

You pointed out the great wins for both guys. PAc did not come close to ever beating anyone of Sugar's caliber. Where are PAc's greatest wins? EM was past it, and so was MAB when Pac beat them, and EM still out boxed Pac. PAc rematched the man a year later when he was clearly shot and beat him two more times.

Duran beat a legend in Sugar, and won the mw title after starting at 135. Diaz, Ledwaba are not even worth mentioning lol... Who the hell is Clottey, a man who lost to AM, and beat little Judah? Clottey didn't fight back against Pac, and PAc fought a shot Dlh at 147 pounds. Did PAc ever truly beat JMM? I believe he may have in their first fight. That is PAc's best win.

Duran stayed in 1 division and dominated for 6 years defeating all comers, and rose in weight at the apex of his career at age 29 to beat Leonard-a legend @ww. Don't come here and try to swindle your bull **** on real boxing fans dun:lol:. Your pathetic outlooks smells like **** to us realboxing fans. You're better off telling us about how Roy Jones was on roids his whole career lol...

You're right about one thing...you are biased when it comes to Duran.

Hearns knocked Duran out at 154...19 lbs above lw, and Duran was past it. Thomas hitman Hearns ko'd Duran, Hagler ko'd Hearns, and Duran fought Hagler and lasted the distance impressing fans. PEople don't forget fighters like Duran, Ward, Chavez, and Gatti...who make you remember their fights son.

Who knocked PAc the **** out? Two bums, and one bum knocked Pac out when PAc was a world champion. PAc quit in his title fight with Singsurat...and people did not forget how Duran fought guys win or lose even though he was past it in later fights after beating Leonard.

Duran gets more credit than Pac in losing...for forcing Hagler to box then PAc beating Clottey lol... PAc lost to EM, and beat EM twice...and EM was shot by then in the last 2 fights. Duran beat De Jesus in a non title fight, and beat him twice when Duran was champion...and DeJesus was in his prime unlike EM and MAB.

Duran didn't weigh in over the lw limit consistently as you say. Duran weighed in at 135 and maybe on fight night weighed more than 140 or even 147 as he got older-at lw. Be real son. You don't have a leg to stand on when it comes to these two... You never told us who was greater, Duran or PAc lol...

So, your entire outlook on this has to do with your biased view on Pac's opponents when he beat them... and Duran's one win over SRL? Even though later that same year SRL CLEARLY came back in the rematch to embarrass Duran and show that he was the superior fighter?

Then you turn around with your biased viewpoint to say that (for example) Marco Antonio Barrera was "past it" when Pac beat him. That is just a horrible falsehood. MAB was widely considered to be in the Prime of his career. His only loss in 6 years was a controversial defeat against Morales 3 years prior. He was coming off a string of recent victories over Naseem Hamed, Eric Morales, Johnny Tapia, and Kevin Kelly. He also didn't lose again after Pac beat him for another 4 years.... and that included winning back to back against Ayala and Morales directly after Pac beat him.

You also like to forget the manner in which Pac has been dispatching of these guys... outside of Marquez.... he has been obliterating all of them. Whether it be a lopsided beating resulting in a UD... or in most cases... an absolute thrashing ending in a knockout.

Also, how about the fact that Duran consistently lost to the best fighters he ever faced? I guess that doesn't count for anything... because Duran's wins are inflated... and his losses don't count.
