Donaire is a perfect example. He punches like a light heavyweight. I'm amazed at the amount of power he seems to generate for his weight. Pacquiao is strong too.

It's mostly technique. Donaire throws his entire body into his punches and Pacquiao relies on his legs.

 

Very few people punch harder than Wlad. Not because Wlad has great technique but because he is huge and his weight behind even a jab is going to hurt.

I think fighters who punched hard because of technique are guys like Tyson, Moorer, Holyfield, these guys weren't very big but had supernatural power.
