If he's worried, it's for good reason. Cintron is tall, rangy, athletic, and very powerful. This isn't an easy fight for Cotto, as much of a fool Cintron may seem at times.

Cintron might have the power to hurt Cotto, but having the ability/heart to deliver that punch while Cotto is pressuring him is another matter. Cintron has repeatedly shown that he doesn't have what it takes at the championship level. Cotto would stop him late.

I think he beats Cintron but he poses his problems. What Cotto needs to do is win another tough fight. Another war wouldn't be a good idea, but I think the mental damage done to Cotto is due to the fact that the first time he was beaten was when he could not overcome the challenge of a real fight as he had been able to before. As an evasive but come-foward pressure fighter, Cotto was bound to run into hard exchanges from time to time. Throughout his career, he had to overcome tough toe-to-toe exchanges with the likes of fighters like Torres, for example. The Margo/Pac fights really hurt his confidence to push through. Once he wins a more competitive fight , I think his mentality as a fighter will be improved and he'll remember it's not the end of the world when you get hurt and the fight can still be won, and Cotto can continue to make his career great.

I just want to see him in the ring again. He wasn't with Steward for very long before the Foreman fight.

  11. Putos don't deserve title shots against someone as awesome as Cotto.

Yes. People underrated guys they don't like. Cintron is a flake and a douche bag, but he's one of those guys that if he's got his head out of his ass and is really up for a fight, he could put on a great fight with most top names. He has the tools, physically. If only his head weren't full of nothing but coleslaw. I almost bet on him against Williams. And, I thought he clearly won the first three rounds, so the score baffled me almost as much as...that...other thing that happened.

Steward announced that there are Cottos manager, promoter, lawyer, and other advisors before Steward. Steward says he is there to train his fighter for whatever opponent is selected.
