before last nights fight i was among the many saying that i believe hatton would destroy paulie and after paulies fight i decided not much had changed, but after watching hatton fight i decided too change my verdict! paulie is clearly easy to hit, i think the fight could go one of either two ways, paulie hits hatton many times with quick accurate shots and will move around alot and not be hit much, therefore sneaking many rounds and going on to win a UD or the second possibleoutcome of the fight is that hatton would walk through paulie and have too much strength and power for him, therefore winning by KO, for some reason now i am starting to fancy a paulie UD and being a hatton fan i might be crazy, but even so. does anybody agree with me?
Somebody needs to remind Malignaggi that he's a feather fisted ******, so his best course of action would be to punch and get out of there. Instead, he seems to have convinced himself that he can fight with guys and ends up inside trying to push them back. Now if he realises where his strengths lie, he might run Hatton close. If he continues to think he's a brawler, then he's going to get demolished.
I think the only way the fight would be entertaining is if Paulie decides to rock extensions again Otherwise it'd be an ugly fight that'd either involve a lot of hugging or a lot of running. I don't think either man can really hurt the other, so it'd basically be a long wrestling match or a grown man's version of keep away
It's just not a smart fight for Hatton. Not because I think Paulie can beat him, after that last performance I don't know who the **** Paulie can beat, but it'd just be an unattractive fight that would make both look like ****. Paulie does have some decent speed and can move, but he can't punch of ****. Hatton has lost a lot of his speed and movement and he doesn't have the kind of power to stop Paulie, but he can still smother him easily IMO. Just wouldn't look good doing it. Plus Paulie can't draw **** and Hatton doesn't really need anyone who can, because he could fight a garbage can in Manchester and still sell out the stadium.
