I agree, especially since there would be a lot of money in it.

The IBF ratings were updated last week and still no Kessler. That's weird. :huh

    Here is the list:

    1. NOT RATED
    2. Vitaly Tsypko - Injured
    3. Carl Froch - WBC Title Eliminator
    4. Dennis Inkin - WBC Title Eliminator
    5. Jurgen Brahmer - WBO Title liminator
    6. Robert Stieglitz - Already selected.
    7. Alejandro Berrio - Not eligible because he lost his last fight.
    8. Librado Andrade - Available?
    9. Sakio Bika - Available?
    10. Jean Pascal - Available? Fight with Miranda off?
    11. Jeff Lacy - Available? Fight with Tarver off?
    12. Edison Miranda - Available? Fight with Pascal off?
    13. Crisitian Sanavia - Available? Rematch with Haussler?
    14. Allan Green - Available? Would he take this fight Bobby?
    15. Danillo Haussler - Available? Rematch with Sanavia?

Well, clearly the IBF must like Lucian.:D If they rated Kessler, they'd have to rate him in a spot that would lead to an eliminator and thus a title shot at the end of the year.

how on earth can the IBF not rank kessler in there top 15?

    2 reasons.
    ibf are stupid.-no brainer

team kessler have asked not to be ranked -not sure if you can do that .

A bit strange ... can't recall Teampalle pissing IBF of or anything like that.

As for asking not to be ranked - Team Palle has talked about a fight with Bute, so it would be strange if they talked themselves out of a ranking...

    i forgot.
    reason 3.

kessler is simply not good enough to be rated over fighters like andrade.

Bute wasn't ranked in the top 15 by some of the big 4 either after the Bika fight. Don't you have to fight someone ranked by them to be ranked by them?

Why isn't Froch ranked by the WBA? Why isn't Bika ranked by the WBC? Both of these guys are top 15 by anyone's reckoning, right?

kessler already beat andrade 120-108 just 2 fights ago, so there is some reason the ibf are not ranking him

This is a good point!:good So it cannot be simply that they don't rank you unless you have fought someone they had previously ranked.
    :think

My guess...they rank just as they please to give a Champ they like a good run...(don't know why the WBC have Joppy at 7, though, ahead of Alejandro Berrio
    9 Vitaly Tsypko
    10 Cristian Sanavia
    11 Edison Miranda
    12 Jeff Lacy
    13 Mads Larsen
    14 Robert Stieglitz

Bute wasn't ranked by the WBC because he was the mandatory challenger of the IBF.
