I know I talk a lot of **** about both Pac and Cotto fans, but I can always admit when I'm wrong... I lost an avatar bet on last night's fight, so I guess it's time to pay up. Whoever is in charge of it... send me my avatar for this month... But first: To the Pac fans: I was so wrong about yo boy. He deserves all the hype and fame he is getting right now. And he proved once again that he is a phenomenonal athlete. I still think he will be in for a tougher fight than last night if (big if) Floyd ever decides to fight him. I'm not holding my breath for that one, though, because Floyd, Roach and Arum will surely find some way to deprive us of that one.:-( To the Cotto fans: I have resigned from my position as Resident Cotto-Hater In-Chief. After last night I actually became a fan of his. I know it may seem kinda weird for a guy to gain fans after a tough loss, but so be it. At the beginning of the fight, I couldn't stop talkin **** about how I couldn't wait to see him sprawled out on the canvas belly up (although I thought he would win easily)... But somehow I found myself rooting for him after about the 9th Round where he was clearly fighting on heart alone. I didn't even bother explaining my sudden shift to everyone at the bar (I was at this Mexican Joint in Silver Springs, MD where I watched Cotto-Marg). I still see some glaring technical and strategic flaws in his game, but the guy's heart cannot be questioned. He clearly had every intention on seeing the final bell despite being obviously brutally mismatched. You gotta respect that ****. So there it is. I am ready to take any abuse that is due. - From either side.
