I was going to do a thread on this as well. It is rare for these things to get announced on weekends and like mentioned there is a purse bid on Monday. Some real obstinate ****ery going on here with Team Jacobs.

Is it really ****ery going on? Or is Jacobs side acting on its best business interests? Im guessing you are one of those boxing fans who gives Golovkin a pass for smart business but needles any guy you dont like for it. Jacobs could probably fight several guys, in more winnable fights, for nearly identical money that he would earn for facing Golovkin. And Jacobs, whos not bound but basically stays on the CBS/Showtime banner, would have to fight on HBO. So naturally, under those circumstances, hes going to ask for more than the normal purse split. You are probably one of those guys who hates the business side of boxing and cant accept its a part of the sport when it doesnt help your favorites.
Good Lord this garden variety assembly line cuck is now trumpeting the Jacobs cause along with the Cucknelo cause. Any port in a strom assuming it puts Golovkin at blame. How did GGG manage to mess up the Cotto fight? Surely that was all his fault as well. He also ducked Ward and Lara has been calling him out for years, right? if you need a boogey man that bad check under your bed and leave GGG alone or is more about catharsis?
Golovkin didnt mess up a Cotto fight. He just never belonged in the ring with Cotto in the first place. Cotto is welterweight. Cotto had no business in the ring with real 160lb fighters. I think we all can agree on that. He did swerve a fight with Ward quite cleverly. He sold us on big plans and didnt deliver. His fans seem to still be defending that one. Lara? Well he would have made a good opponent the last couple of years. Probably better than anyone he has actually fought. But Im not sure why that never got made.
