We know who was "given" more rounds by the ringside judges. The argument is about who really deserved more. Most feel (with good reason) it was not Pac.
I've pointed this out before... but if you look at the scorecards of people who had Marquez winning, there is very little consensus as to which rounds he won and which ones he lost. It's all over the place. A fight like that is not a roberry.
^^ same can be said about *******s scoring the fight, when they actually score it as a whole... Oh PAC won the beggining, marquez won the middle, and remember they said Marquez was winning marquez slowed a bit, so Pac won the end... See PAc won begging plus end... marquez won middle Pac = winner end/Begging>Middle... MIND of a *******... *******s don't even talk about scorecards they just talk ****!
I felt that JMM won that fight. I thought Pac would knock him out. He never came close to doing what has never been done before. I was wrong. Lots of us were. What we saw unfold was so far different to what was generally expected to be played out in that fight, that at the time we give the win to JMM by default. We have seen the ordering of rematches by some sanctioning bodies in the recent past. This is one of those fights that could do with a rematch order to settle the matter once and for all.deal:deal
:good This is what I'm talking about.. You guys came up with a conclusion that JMM won the fight because he has taken control of the middle rounds.. Then you are carrying it over on the later rounds to say that Marquez also had it! atsch Watch it again, score it round for round, and see for yourself that JMM did not won the fight..
You are talking as if that JMM murdered or outclassed Pac.. atsch Come on! Lets be real here.. :smoke It was a close fight, it just so happened that JMM came in there and reached beyond the expected outcome of most fans but that doesn't means he clearly beat Pac.. :nono We can bring it here round per round and debate each round.. Pac won it.. :bbb
Since you don't agree with it, I'd like to hear it from you.. Or you should fix that to yourself.. :hat
since we have so much downtime between training recruits, i sat down and watched the fight again. as i scored , I marked an S for the rounds that could have been to either because they were close. With the combination I came up with, I wound up with 8-4 Pac, 8-4 JMM, and 6-6. The other one was 7-5 Pac. It wasn't the robbery many feel it is but it was still damn close enough that you can easily make the case for Marquez winning.
Interesting post. Marquez hade some beutiful moments, but I am left with the impression that this was not a robbery. Pac fought catiously, was content landing single shots and counters. Neither men landed very much, but I think Pac outlanded Marquez quite clearly, especially in the beginning and the end. But I dont have a problem with people scoring the fight for Marquez. It was a very hard fight to score.
Threads repeating themselfes in all eternity is part of ESB, and yes, it is tiresome. But I dont agree it's just *******s and trolls that think the fight is close or that Marquez performence was overrated. Saying Marquez "schooled" Pac has turned into a mantra and it's a bit annoying. IMO opinion he was tagged too much and landed too little for such expressions. But I respect those who think otherwise.
Not with such great effect on the landscape of boxing though. Look at everything that would change if JMM got the W.
Punch stats are not very reliable. But honestly, when Pac speeds up who can tell when he lands or not? Those guys sitting at ringside probably goes clikc-click-click because they cant tell.
Would you two care to show your scores round per round? We can bring here all the rounds of that fight and score it one by one.. That would clear this up.. :deal
Pacquiao fans are clearly the ones who aren't over it. Those who scored it for Marquez treat it as a win, as they should, and moved on a while ago.
