Tin Foil hat stuff aside Martinez should be 2-0.

Williams will surely bounce back, he is the type of aggressive defenseless fighter that is going to lose a few fights in his career but can give almost anyone hell on any given day. If he keeps his head and doesn't have some sort of Pavlik-like capitulation, he will surely add several good wins to his name down the track.

He has been unfairly judged as a Middleweight for most of his career despite the fact that he was comfortably making Welterweight. People never entertained the idea of a fight like Williams - Cotto, they just brushed the thought aside, the stigma of Williams having an unfair god given advantage because he is blessed with the build of a skyscraper. Ignoring the simple fact that it would have been two top Welterweights against each other and one would have smashed the other.

And respect for that. Far too many 'fans' jump off the wagon once it hits a shaky road, some even flat out lie they weren't on it in the first place.

I like Williams, he's a good kid and wish him some nice performances.

Paul needs Emmanuel and i think he could really do great things...but right now he just fights to his oppositions advantage....last time i seen him fight to his advantage was when he beat Margo

Are you serious? The guy who cant even take an avg MW punch.

This is one of the reasons i didnt like PW. He was very overrated. PW wont even be able to take a 154 pounders punch anymore.

I think its funny how all of a sudden his fans disappeared.

Where are all these people who were saying PW was the truth and would destroy Martinez this time around?

What happened to that guy who always posted PW threads? I forget his name but he would always talk about how PW was so great. I agree its only 2 official losses on his resume but his punch resistance is gone so stick a fork in him cause that was his strength.

The idiot never stuck around at WW long enough. He just wanted the big fights without really deserving them. YOu cant just come up and ask for the big fights by fighting average guys. Look at Margarito. He had to basically fight every top WW to finally get his big shot at Cotto.
PW wanted to get that shot at the top guys by just beating Matthysse, Mitchell and Quintana. The Margo fight was a good one to take towards the top guys though even though Margo was not as famous yet.

Had he not moved up he would have gotten teh big fights eventually but i dont think he was making the weight as comfortably as his team claims so they moved up.

he won't make it to the top, such KOs makes your career nearly over. There are better punchers than Martinez.

Whatever you can say about him he does have a great attitude, i just cant see that man avoiding anyone, ok maybe he would bring them to a catchweight, but not avoid totally, bit of a difference :hey

Williams frustrates me. They list him at 6"1" but he is taller than Pavlik, so he's really about 6'3", and yet he fights like he was 5'8".

With his physique, power, tenacity, and work rate, he should be laying dudes out left and right. That won't happen unless he learns to use his physical advanatage.
