NAME some fights that fans (or you) are still salty/upset about to this day! The Klitschko-Lewis fight is a great example of this. Lots of fans don't want to give Lewis his props.
He has himself to blame with that one for being so arrogant in the post-fight interview with Larry Merchant. Had he been a bit congenial and gracious to the loser for putting up titanic resistance, he would have ingratiated himself with the fans and boxing media. Instead, the interview went viral and he slathered himself with pettiness on his way out of the game.
Wilder - Fury 2. Wilder fanatics are still making up excuses about why their 'MCM' lost to Fury. Hagler - Leonard. Many still feel Hagler was robbed & Leonard was an opportunist. Ali - Norton 3. Very close fight that Norton fans claim was a gift decision for Ali & he was robbed.
Fury-Wilder II is the most ridiculous I’ve seen in my lifetime both from fighter and fan base. It’s like his fans are just as stupid and ignorant as him.
Agree with all of these. I'll say though that you don't need to be a Norton fan to think he beat Ali and I say that as someone who was pretty neutral about that fight.
Duran-Leonard 2. Leave it to Duran fans to turn a bathrooming incident into a glorious flghting retreat. I kid, sort of; no idea if he had the runs or if it was just that time of the month for him or what but his fans sure tried to make lemonade on that one.
Whitaker fans can't get over the fact their man could manage no better than a draw against a declining, blown up Julio.
Tszyu fans who still whinge about Hatton fighting dirty and the referee letting him get away with it, when according to them their man was going to brutally knock Hatton out.
Chavez-Taylor I. I will never forgive Richard Steele for that horrendous call. He was always Don King's man.
