After watching this ,no doubt he had a steel jaw when he was on point, maybe some of the hardest punches ive ever seen anyone walk through 12 rnds. It actually over shadowed the beating he gave Ruddock itself ,with vicious head and body combos leaving Ruddock bruised all over and a wide broken jaw.

Mike had a very good chin and a very weak psyche for boxing when things aren't going his way.

Bruno .Bonecrusher .Ruddock. couldn't shift him .All these guys could hit very hard and take people out with one shot .That shows the quality of Tysons chops.

not 9,5/10 . holyfield had him drunk. 7,5/10 sounds right. good chin, not iron chin. better than joe louis worse than foreman

Also took numerous Lewis over hand rights for 8 rnds, ppl point to holyfield but he ran into that punch and its the same hook that dropped Mercer to one knee or made him decide to go to one knee...Tyson never went down. with just one punch.

He could take a hell of a punch. Didn't do so well when up against those fighters who managed to string a few hard punches together.
Ruddock fought so primitively against Tyson it's baffling.

He had everything you could need to be a great boxer, but he blew it away.

To be fair he probably qualifies as a great boxer.

True, but yeah he could take a ferocious punch and still be standing. Also; I think Ruddock had a good chin and I believe Tyson ruined it.

Hook??? Did you even see the fight??? The punch that was the beginning of the end for Tyson in the 10th round was a right hand to the temple.

Great chin. But i'm not sure he had that tide-turning kind of punch resistance.
