Im a fan of Hatmans channel. Heres some interesting things that Stirverne and Duhaupa have said about certain experiences leading up to that fight.

Is it uncommon to have a backup ready for main/co main events?

I'm pretty sure quite a few of the main and co-main events on the Russian cards have a backup fighter on retainer in case the opponent pulls out for whatever reason.

Stiverne is connecting dots that shouldn't be connected.

Povetkin tested +, fight was cancelled. Move on (Stiverne).

Yeah an event like that should have contingencies, I mean how often do you hear 'taking the fight on short notice' in boxing. What stands out for me is that Stirverne was saying that he was reminded a fair bit about a back up fighter in place should he not be able to fight. Thats unusual if the reminders are constant as I think the video suggests. Its Stirvernes word against whoever but again, its another shambles where I cant wait to see what unfolds.
