In what is turning into a night of upsets from Bridgeport Connecticut, heavyweight knockout king Bermane Stiverne who had a dozen knockouts in as many fights fell victim to Demetrice King, at 1:59 of the 4th round. Referee John Callas stopped the action after 11 straight piston right hands from King, many of which missed their mark. Stiverne who scored a knockdown in the first round was livid with the decision. "Nobody talk to me, nobody, that was complete bullsh-t, bullsh-t!" Stiverne who was stretched into the fourth round for the first time in his young by King who has only been stopped once and moves to 12-15 with 10 stoppages.

Two-time world title challenger Monte 'Two-Gunz' Barrett got caught two times by righthands from journeyman Cliff Couser. Barrett crashed to the canvas from a right to the chin as the first round ended and barely beat the count and made his way to the corner. The rest did him little good as Couser once again landed big with a right to the chin sending Barett down to the canvas for a second time. The bout was quickly afterwards at :42 seconds of the second round moving Couser to 26-12-2 (14 KO) and drops Barett to 31-6 (17KO).

Shocking, I thought Barrett would have an easy time with Couser, that should get 'Couser some typ of regional belt shot.

I am shocked. I really expected a lot from Stiverne. I was sure that he would be a top 10 heavyweight inside 2-3 years. But now it sure don´t look like that is gonna happend, althought I don´t count him out yet.

Stiverne came as a surprise to me. I say him fight twice on t.v. and was shocked at his punching power. The last fight I saw he remined me of Winky where he just kept coming at his opponent at will. The punches didn't seem to be affecting him at all and when he did answer back, you could clearly see the difference. Though watching him fight, I expected a good B level boxer to outpoint him somewhere in the future, but I guess that's what makes boxing so interesting.
