Stiverne Better Defense Than Fury?

Fury’s defense has never been based around his chin.

Stiverne got completely shut out by a non-boxer, and it was only his chin that made him go the full 12.
Fury completely outboxed Wilder, but got caught twice and needed his recovery skills to win (draw in the US) the fight on the cards.

 

I don't think Stiverne is the quality of Fury. Far from it. He is a notch below. He could not avoid any of Wilder's punches. He took the punches well the first time, but Fury avoided them.

 

I remember at one point Stiverne got hurt very badly and lost his legs, but basically tackled Wilder to conceal it and it wasn't called a kd, then got saved by the bell if I recall. I think a lot of shots were partially blocked by the guard and Wilder was pretty wary in that fight, people were surprised he boxed and moved so much at the time. Second fight I think he just gave no respect and smashed him.
