For most rounds Wilder controlled the fight with a ramrod jab. Hardly running. He also had Stiverne seeing stars several times in the fight.

Two things came out of that fight - Wilder is the real deal and Stiverne's chin is certified granite.

I despair for the sport when I read such nonsense. Anything less than fighting like Stallone in the rocky films is characterised as running by some of the berks on here.

They should make milling a sport as there is clearly a fan base ready and waiting for it.

Stiverne received some very serious punches that would knock most heavyweights out, but he proved to be withstanding. The fight looked a lot like Vitali-Briggs fight most of the time. Although Stiverne has better defence than Briggs, he did get seriously shaken up a few times.

No-one knew who was going to win this fight, as Wilder had never stepped up and was an unknown quantity. Last night he stepped up and did good. Congrats.
