if he becomes to wbc mandatory after this its a complete farce.

how does having one fight in 2 years where you struggle and get dropped in a disputed decision over rossy can you then become a mandatory challenger?

the problem is the wbc heavyweight rankings are complete garbage anyway and they will never produce a decent mandatory challenger, the wbc should be relagated to the level of the IBO belt

Add in the facted he also failed a doping test in the run up to the povetkin fight only makes things worse

Povetkin didn't care and said he would fight him anyway, but then stiverne runs away when the shoe is on the other foot

Just make Dillian Whyte the mandatory, Chisora vs Whytte was an eliminator afterall although not a final eliminator. SO make Wilder vs Whyte and in the meantime have the WBC order another final eliminator.

whyte ,pulev, ruiz, haye, takam, millar ,h fury would all be better options that stiverne

stiverne is a lazy inactive overweight drugs cheat who has no business being the mandatory challenger, however the wbc probably have no issue given this drugs cheat a shot at the belt because he has no chance of winning unlike povetkin who would have been wilders toughest fight to date by far.

i mean when stiverne was caught doping why didnt the wbc do what they did for wilder, cancelled the fight and just installed povetkin as the mandatory, he had done enough to deserve it already

wilder has been given a voluntary in the mean time, he is supposed to be looking to fight that polish guy povetkin ko'ed in 3 rounds.

but it doesn't matter at this stage how many voluntaries wilder gets when they are making sure he's mandatory challengers are also useless

I agree. He shouldn't just be installed as the mando. Put him in an eliminator.

    Have him fight Haye.

Haye gets a decent name on his resume, Stiverne gets retired.

Uh Haye wants nothing to do with VADA testing. Clean athletes only. I'm fine with whatever the WBC chooses. I'm of the mind that a shot should be earned though ideally.

I supported Wilder in leaving the fight. There simply wasn't enough time to get to the bottom of it, and he'd tested clean all the way through.

Stiverne, for multiple reasons, is a completely different situation and I think it's idiocy not to go through with the fight.

Povetkin knew he was dirty and that's why it didn't matter but he should have taken the high road like Steverne did and he would be in line for the Deontay fight.

I can see a lawsuit if he's made mando given he failed his own test.

I am sure WBC will figure it out in favor of Wilder in the end of the day. Stiverne will fight someone. In the meantime Wilder will fight someone like Brezeale or Martin.
