It appears that way to you because of your off the charts love for Wilder. Its cool, we all know you dig him.
Wilder is counting on Stiverne stopping the fight, that will be his excuse..................Wilder will go for many more years without fighting anyone but winos from the alley...................
Wilder is counting on Stiverne stopping his fight with Ortiz, he has no intentions of fighting Ortiz or anyone else who can fight, perhaps a rematch with Sconiers?
I was surprised to see Stiverne so helpless against Wilder since he had totally dominated Areola with blinding combinations. Guess he's just after another payday? On the other hand, step-aside money would be easier. So it just might be that he feels he put up a good fight the first time and deserves rematch to do a better job this time.
Just being reported that Stiverne missed a scheduled drug test (why is he missing drug test anyway? Id he not clean?) which in the WBC eyes is treated the same as a failed drug test. Wilder and his team may have standing to get Stiverne out of his mandatory position based on this factor...more info to come.
Stiverne outright failed a drug test for the Povetkin fight didn't he? Did he not face any consequences? Or perhaps he was banned for 6 months and I/we simply never heard about it?
When you miss a drug test it is deemed that you has failed a drug test. So Stiverne have to be suspended. I don't think he could block anything. The whole thing is to allow another voluntary fight for Wilder against a mediocre opponent.
Because maybe in his mind he sees himself as having given Wilder a run for his money. Ever see that guy who goes around from gym to gym challenging people to spar and proclaiming himself the winner no matter how badly he gets trashed?
Deontay manager is stating that Stiverne missed drug test may be the out they are looking for in regards to enforcing this mandatory. Missing a drug test is like failing a drug test according to the WBC rules.
