Im a something of a Jennings fan, though I think he might be a bit small to conquer the world. But I'd say Jennings would have to be a very live UD in this fight. If the odds were right, I'd take Jennings by decision.:think
Regardless of how it would go, he'd definitely win rounds just based on workrate and Stivernes very lackadaisical style. The question is, can he avoid the big right hand counter? Jennings has shown that he doesn't have the most study of whiskers, but he can definitely box and wins a wide UD if he can avoid the big right hand.
Jennings went almost the full distance with Szpilka. Every Top 30 fighter mustbe able to knock him out within 2 rounds if he want to achieve something in this sport. Based on this performance, Jennings is a very, very bad fighter Stiverne would knock him out early.
Szpilka is a Top 30 himself. Even Top 20. Right before the fight it was said to be close competitive fight. As for his chances against Stiverne, in the second fight we saw Arreola outboxing him in almost every round. The only reason Chris got knocked out is because he's a stupid fighter. But it doesn't proof Stiverne as a great fighter, though he does have fastnheavy hands. Unlike Arreola, Jennings is a smart fighter. If he stays careful, he has all the chances to get 117 - 109 UD. I don't believe in him getting accidentally hit. And I see no way how Stiverne, if he doesn't change his style since his championtitle fight, could outbox him.
Well, remember that Bowie Tupou floored Jennings. A right hand from Stiverne would probably put Jennings out cold.
