    Cotto's best wins are
1 Mosley - A Legend who's cleary past it a bit. Gave cotto a very hard close fight. Best win of cotto's career. A few thought mosley won
2 Judah - Judah gave him hell for the first few rounds,(illiciting illegal blows from cotto) but was cleary past it. Losing his 2 previous fights against live comp (and losing to baldo) Not that great of a win IMO
3 Clottey - Very good fighter, The first reining title holder cotto beat.(i dont care that the ibf stripped him). Also gave cotto a very close fight. A few thought clottey won
4 Paulie - A pretty good showing for cotto, he dealt with the young italians speed rather well. Broke his cheek bone. Paulie went on to become an IBF champ. Hand troubles hamperd paulie as usual, but no excuses.
5 Quintatina - A solid fighter with a questionable chin, Went on to school paul williams in their 1st fight to become WBO champ. Good win for cotto.

Left out torres(good win), and some solid guys

    Hatton's best wins are
1 Kostya - Clearly a bit past it, but coming off a big win, and was highly rated. Hatton did use questionable tactics, but tszyu didnt complain, and gave hatton all the credit. We can only do the same. Hatton won the linear undisputed jr welter crown (somthing cotto has yet to do) This is a win that cotto hasnt matched yet. Hatton wins IBF title
2 Castillo - Very good underrated fighter. Came off a beatdown of chico, he was past it from the wars. However hatton destroyed him. You can argue that this win was better then cotto's over judah
3 Urango - Tough hard hitting undefeated title holder. Id put him in the same teir as clottey. GAve hatton a tough fight, but hatton won clearly IMO. Hatton wins the IBF title
4 Paulie - Hatton kicked paulies ass, we saw a little more boxing from the hitman. Paulie sights hand troubles, but no excuses. Hatton wins the IBF title again
5 Collazo - A very close fight, I saw it as a 1 point win for hatton (the knockdown won him the fight). Berto went on to beat berto (in my eyes). A very underrated fighter and hattons first move up to welterweight. Wins the WBA welterweight title.

Left out a bunch of solid wins during hattons wbu reign

Record wise, hatton is above cotto IMO. But cotto has the potential to surpass him, In my opninion, i think they will end up somewhere simalar career wise when the dust settles. They are of simalar size, hatton being a bit smaller, but nothing to write home about. Skill wise cotto is better, but hatton has much better stamina. Cotto fades late in fights. Both get hit too often. Both have shown pretty decent chin's. Both have good power, and are very strong at bullying fighters in the clinch.

People are shitting on hatton's loses but remember, they are both to number 1 p4p fighters in the world. Hatton got blown out by pac because his style is a bad match up for manny's. However, while i think cotto will fare better against pac. He will get KOED as well. People talk to much about weight classes these days.

    Pac Ko inside 6 :rasta

Cotto is better than Hatton, with the exception of clinching, in every aspect that there is in boxing. :deal

If Cotto loses to Pacquiao, I just hope his tune up fight is a showdown with Hatton. He's planning on moving up in weight anyways and every Hatton fan seems to think he is so much better than Cotto just because he beat Tzyu :patsch

I dont agree. Both get hit wayyyy to often. Both have shown to be vunerable to good counters in the past. Watch the judah and torres fights. It's not that hatton has a bad chin, hes just easy to counter with big shots. He also didnt fight a smart fight. Hatton and Cotto are about even in power. Speed and skill cotto has the edge but that dosent matter. It will be usless against pac, who trounces cotto in speed and skill. :-(

WTF? how am i trolling? I just think that cotto and hatton are both A class fighters. VERY GOOD TOP FIGHTERS.... BUT pac is on another level. You guys make all these excuses after hatton's loss to pac like hatton sucked. NO, its just that pac is that good. After he walks through cotto, you will probobly say the same ****

Cotto's better in most areas than Hatton. They both can apply effective pressure although in different ways. Cotto's more deliberate while Hatton's more of a wild, in your face guy, who looks to swarm, rough you up before or after a clinch, and I think he's quicker on his feet and with his hands (at least single shots, but Cotto is a very fluid and crisp combo puncher).

Cotto's got better defense. Although he's hittable he does a better job at keeping his hands up with the peek-a-boo and using some head movement. He takes a better shot, both upstairs and downstairs. I think Hatton's punch resistance has diminished over the last couple of years. Cotto has a better jab, more variety of punches, is bigger physically. He also doesn't as often do stupid **** like leaping in with a left hook and leaving his head exposed.

Cotto is also showing signs of deterioration guys. He's no master boxer, hes always been more of a brawler.... Recently hes started boxing a bit better but cmon, its like hatton training with senior. After pac hits him hard, he will go back to brawling

Cotto's always mixed in boxing with brawling, backfoot/lateral movement with forward pressure, depending on the opponent (or situation).

Cotto may be in for a rough night, but it should be a good match, not a one-sided slaughter like Pacquiao-Hatton.

everyone said DLH would have a good match, same with hatton (raises hand shamfully). Hell, they all look good against pac on paper, but come fight night, the typhoon will come again :bbb

Seriously??? Are you really comparing Cotto with Hatton?? Cotto is just superior in every way. Hatton was just an over rated fighter who got exposed twice really badly
