The only legit fighter for Floyd to face is Pacquiao And maybe Timmeh' if he beats Marquez So why complain if Khan gets the fight? or anyone else? Floyd beats em all...shame he won't face the one that matters. edit: Also all this forum & social media hype only makes the fight more likely to happen... believe me it's not signed or confirmed yet... Ellerbe will be watching the media storm brew to get a taste for how such a fight will sell...
I agree there's really no one for him to fight at 147 that are GBP fighters. He's not fighting Broner so who's left? Alexander, Khan, Thurman, Garcia if he fights any of these guys he will get bashed so it really doesn't matter.
Mayweather is a truly great fighter, that claims he only has a few fights left. Fans should demand he fight the best.
If you're a fan of a fighter, you'll watch all of his fights. That's true for every fan base. It's the casual observers that really push the needle.
Why complain?! Because we fans have made Floyd rich by buying his PPV's. We have every right to be opinionated.
There's no one left at 147 Pac JMM and Bradley are Top Rank fighters so those fights can't happen. What do you want him to do? Move up to 160 and fight Martinez or GGG? He can't fight GGG either because he's an HBO fighter but if he could it's unreasonable. He's already moved from 130 to 154 that's enough. The only other fighter that I think he should fight would be Lara at 154 but he's really a nobody in terms of name.
Garcia is a more deserving opponent than Khan. And considering his career is coming to a close, why not at least try to see if a Bradley fight can get made? Hell, let Khan fight Alexander and get the winner. Mayweather is the biggest name in the sport. He has options. I'm not hating on him. He can fight who he wants. However, fans are more than justified for asking for a better opponent than Khan at this time.
For what it can't unless Bradley's contract is up with Top Rank which I don't think it is it won't be made. Garcia needs a fight at 147 before facing PBF, he's coming up from 140 not really fair to him.
Khan is coming up from 140 as well. Garcia is is about the same size as Floyd, if not bigger. The size wouldn't be a factor. And again, Floyd is the biggest name in the sport. Arum has actually had nothing but nice things to say about him lately, Bradleu has expressed interest in the fight. I would understand if it fell through, but at least try. His next fight isn't until May. He has until January to officially chose an opponent.
