Many ATG's of the past would fight in their opponents backyards, and beat them there..thats what true greats did..You know, prove that they were the best. Of course its gonna be unlikely now, but dont be saying Broner is the best of the division if he hasnt beaten THE best fighters of the division he's at.

Only in your wet ******ed dreams.

Getting a gift against a b-level 126lber, and beating a bunch of outmatched cans doesn't equal the best in the division.

Try reading about Eder Jofre and Fighting Harada...2 ATG's battling it out in...Japan. But of course, your ******ed ass wouldn't anything about that.

Oh again how many greats went to Japan to fight a fight nobody cared about? Broner is still the best in the division no matter who he has faced

I'm a Broner fan by the way I think the guy is great. I like his type of fighter.

But if he's capable of moving up to 135 then he clearly should do so. There's **** all there at 130 it's a dead division these days.

Someone as cocky and flashy as Broner needs to be doing that **** where the opponents arnt tomato cans

He should fight one of the top 2 or 3(excluding the Japanese).

My guess is he will fight once or twice more at SFW, then move up to LW next year.

I could see GBP making a fight with Demarco, or maybe Linares towards the end of the year. Or track down Ricky Burns?

Ever since Burns ducked him, I keep wondering how that fight would have turned out.

yes but Sanchez and Benitez are not only exceptions to what normally happens, they are all time greats who progressively fought stiffer competition before stepping up which Broner has yet to do. I would like to see a comptetive fight too, but hasn't he already had one vs Ponce De Leon? I would like to a rematch before moving up to 135 as I think Broner learned a lot from the PDL fight and would win big in a rematch. But come on man Sanchez and Benitez are not fair comparisons for ANYONE!! Fact is there's no rush for Broner, he should definetly be fighting guys that are better than Perez and Rodriguez though but he's got 10+ years to carve out a great career if he can. These next couple years should be focused more on improving vs different styles and stiff opposition rather than trying to get the big fight vs bigger names and moving up in weight, the big names at higher weights will always be there, I think he could use some more seasoning first and would be wise to do so. I don't buy that there a no fights at 130 that can lead to his development, look no further than the division below and who's moving up soon enough.

I'm not hating on Rios, I'm a huge fan of his, one of my favorites right now and the only time I've ever rooted against him will be vs my favorite fighter Gamboa. I was just pointing out the fact that he talks **** just as much as broner and gets loved on here for it!!

Truth is his opposition hasn't been all that much better than Broners....Ponce De Leon is more accomplished than Acosta (although Rios obviously performed better), Litzau= as accomplished or more so than Antillon. Perez is proly even equal to Murray as far as where they rate in their divisions.

He will have to move up to get bigger fights...He won't become a known name at 130 pounds...There is just no fighters in that divsion, which will get him recognition...I wouldn't mind seeing him at 135 in about 3 more fights. He is 5'7 and he could probably get up to WW one day. I don't see any of the big names at 126 moving up to fight him either...Gamboa knows he won't be drained at 130 like Rios will be at 135, thus he not gonna fight Broner at 130 ( I doubt he does)....lopez gets beat as well.

The biggest name at 130, in the states is Litzau and we saw what happened their.

Now that would be a great fight for Broner, Linares is just as fast and has excellent moves. There is a possibility that he could outbox Broner, although Broner has the edge in power.
