IMO Pac is not a true welterweight as some would say, yes he fought for a WW belt (and won), but that doesn't mean 147 is his best weight, thats 140 at this current time i would say. For me it just indicates how good he really is.

I know ppl gonna say he beat Cotto but thats because Pac's skills, speed, natural talent, stamina, boxing brain are just unreal.

    On a sidenote:

Also the people who are making excuse's saying Cotto was weight drained make me sick. How can you even say that, yea 2lbs LOL. How can anyone even have a bad word to say about Pac, a man who....ready....wait for it......takes risks and wants to challenge his skills against the best and push himself to the limit.

If every fighter was a Pacquiao, boxing would be the biggest sport in the world. The man not only is gifted, the man wants to entertain and actually fight! Even if Mayweather was to beat Pac i still wouldn't have him higher in terms of ATG. As you have to consistenly challenge yourself against the best, not just pick on the small guys. I think FM is great but as the radio dude goes (and i concour) has just wasted the last 7 years. Floyd please, go challenge yourself, i wish you had some Pacman attitude.

Appreciate Pac while he's around, as for me he's in the league of Woods and Federer in sporting terms.

I know I said that at least once over the weekend. I sure didn't mean that he's a natural WW, just that we need to stop looking at him as simply a blown up featherweight. His physical strength and power are enough to consider him one of the best active WWs at this moment.

Pac is a WW. That's the division he's fighting in. Thats what he is. he may not be the biggest welterweight, but he is a welterweight.

It may not be his absolute ideal peak weight, but he is a "true" WW in the sense that he belongs and deserves to compete there until somebody proves otherwise in the ring. And nobody will (even a loss to Floyd or Shane will probably be competitive).

Yea thats my point, he has beaten the best in the division if you ask me and 147 is not even his best/natural weight. Just amazing how he can negate disadvantages with his abilities.

Pacquiao is not a true Welterweight, he's a Light Welterweight who happens to have just won a title (2 if you count that BS WBC Diamond Belt) at Welterweight.

Pac is small man w/ short reach but he can outbox fighters bigger than him. That shows how versatile he is w/ his speed, skills, and attitude. I think he has morphed into a true welterweight.

He sure as **** looks like a true Welter to me. Though he could easily compete at 140.

He can compete at 147 but I am sure that he could still make 135 if he wanted to.

Agreed, I think 140 is probably his best/ideal weight.
