It'd be like saying Trinidad beat De La Hoya. Chavez drew with Whitaker. Or Roy Jones Jr lost the olympic Gold medal

Its just not true. Not to compare the slobra to any of these fighters. But we all know a young talented potential star was robbed of his first major belt in Nottingham thanks to European officiating. A guy from Italy and a guy from Belgium. What do they know about boxing?

In reality Froch didnt win more then 4 rounds. I can see a little closer card because Froch was fighting at home and everytime Froch missed so badly he nearly fell over the drunk English crowd would cheer, but at best you can have it close but clear for Dirrell.

There is absolutely no way you can win a fight not landing power shots. Froch landed maybe 4 clean powershots the whole night. Dirrell was in complete control from the opening bell, landed cleaner shots, and even caused Froch to start fouling on purpose(as he admitted) because he was getting schooled so badly.

As you can see in the start of the 5th round Dirrell is schooling Froch badly, and for no reason at all Froch body slams him. Should have had a point taken away, and in a nuetral venue would have been disqualified within 8 rounds for his blatant rabbit punching. Which if you remember in a fight in England Nigel Benn destroyed McClellans life doing the same thing.

Action in the round up to the Body slam.

    - Dirrell lands a 3 punch combo

    - Dirrell lands flush 2 punch combo

    - Dirrell lands a left hand counter

    - Dirrell lands a body shot

    - Dirrell lands another body shot

    - Dirrell lands a left hand

Then Froch body slams him. What exactly was the reason for the body slam? Because Dirrell was landing flush consistently and Froch couldnt do anything about it? Was this the moment where Froch decided he was going to have to foul Dirrell to beat him? Very poor on slobras part.

Like I said, a solid victory was taken from a young fighter. Dirrell may never be the same again and this "loss" cant go down as such it must be remembered for the side show it was an how a young fighter was robbed of his first major career victory in his first 12 round fight.

Man I wish that you wouldn't use the great state of Michigan in your username. The state is already in recession, it doesn't need you to drag it down further.

I thought Dirrell should have got the verdict but ultimately there is very little point bitching because hehad the ability to win the fight clearly when he put his work together, but it was infrequent and he took the appearence of a negative fighter. Dirrell had to know he needed a convincing win in Nottingham and he simply didn't come up with that, it was a brainless gameplan.

It was a great gameplan had he been fighting in America, where things like rabbit punching, body slams ect ect are illegal. In Nottingham how as he too know that those things plus nut shots are legal?

Dirrell boxed beautifully in the first 5 rounds. Only when Froch started hacking did he lose his way, but came back to dominate the last 3 rounds.

Again a win is a win. There is nothing in judging that says you award a round to another guy because you dont like the other guys style.
