It's called boxing and thank god we have different styles. If everyone fights like Dirrel and Ward nobody is going to watch this sport. Nothing comes close to a nice puncher boxer match up like JJC - Taylor

    punch stats

    Froch 153/475 32%

    Dirrell 105/315 33%

dirrell lands an average of 10 punches per round....and thats a title winning effort! hahaha
people are so up their fighters ass and they cant do any wrong.... pull up lame in the biggest fight of their careers and complain after the fact instead of with their fists in the ring....bunch of damn babies

Froch close but clear and I think he's an arogent ******* (although he deserves respect for fighting the best lately). Dirrel certainly did not dominate the last three either you creep, btw you want to see a place where nut shots are allowed go to America and watch Ward vs. Kessler. They also seemed to miss Dirrel getting KD'd and allowd him to get away with eccesive holding (which isn't part of boxing).

Didnt Froch land more punches? If yes. Then you cant compare to DLH vs Trinidad, or Lewis vs Holyfield or any of the robberies where one lands 100 more punches than the winner. Im just saying.

Dirrell should have thrown more punches. Froch was the champ, and I think its okay he won.

Dirrell fought a ridiculous fight. Holding, running, turning his head, bitching to the ref every 2 seconds. It was like watching an Italian footballer in the ring. How anyone can claim he deserved a win that night:-(

    **** that.

Exactly. Did Dirrell really think he'd done enough to take the belt away from the champion on his own soil?

If he did, he was being extremely naive.

I've never seen a more negative performance that has won a world title, providing the fighter didn't have an injury. Boxers who fight like this, just don't win titles. You don't deserve to win world titles fighting in that manner.

Can anyone name a poorer performance from a victorious contender in a world title fight, without injury, disqualification etc.?

You could make a case that Dirrell could have been DQed for his holding. At points, he was as bad as Akinwande against Lewis. If the referee had been consistent with his own rules, Dirrell should have had 2 more points taken, but obviously referees are hesitant to deduct points for holding.

Froch lost terribly to Dirrell .... If felt uneasy scoring so many rounds to Dirrell when I first watched the fight it was so lopsided.

I had Andre winning this fight...Froch showed a lot of frustration in dealing with Andre's speed...
