I have no clue. If the WW division clears itself out like Margo beats Williams by the end of the year (09) you can see a mega date with Margo.

Floyds had a long career moved up to a 4th division. He doesn't want to sit and take on challenger after challenger. Just wants the top guy of the division.

Look at his last 3 fights. All against the numbers 1s of their division.

    Baldomir Lineal 147 Champ

    DLH Number 1 154

    Hatton Lineal 140

I think you might be female poster called 'Strawberry Girl', or something like that? Used to post comments on the homepage articles?

Anyway, 'you're just jealous' in response to criticism of a fighter who isn't a member of your immediate family is something only a woman could say, imo.

Easy to say, but unless it happens we'll never know. Pacquiao is building his legacy and will clearly be the best fighter of the decade unless Floyd does something about it. Why retire in the middle of your prime? It's good not to wait until you're a shell and getting beaten senseless, but he has a legacy to solidify.

Baldomir was ****, he never even close to being the best welterweight, regardless of what the rankings may have said.

Pacquaio is already greater than Mayweather.

Cotto will not beat Mayweather, his style does not permit it.

Margo has the best chance of the 4 listed.

Mosley is old, and hasn't won at 147 in nearly 2 years and is a cheater.

Pacquaio although a mega fight, Floyd will be critized for fighting the smaller guy.. even though he's in his 4th weight class and comes into the ring weighing what he weighed at the weigh in.

Doesn't change the fact that Baldomir was the Lineal 147lber. Something Margo, nor Cotto have yet to do.

Margo wont accomplish that until he beats Williams who is the number 2 in the division.

    His legacy was solidified <140.

Floyd would likely outbox guys like Margo and Williams and Cotto, but they were the guys who could beat him, not the likes of Baldomir and Hatton. Add in the fact there's a near consensus in boxing that he just plain pussed out of fighting Margo, and it makes it hard to argue that he 'beat the best of his era', or 'fought everyone' etc. He didnt dominate 47.

Exactly i think should Mayweather beat Pacquiao it should be considered an important victory because Pacquiao as of now is greater than Floyd and in terms of size or weight they are not so far apart. Maybe it would get critcized now but as years go by it should be viewed as a great win for Floyd.

YOUR RIGHT ON!!! its crazy how ppl want to say cherrypicking but this guy has did nothing but beat the best. yeah you can name names, but it doesnt matter. even if Joe Calzaghe retires ppl would say he ducked Dawson. anybody can retire with somebody waitiing in the wing. Mayweather can fight till hes 40 and ppl would say hes ducking Chavez Jr...WHAT A JOKE!!!

I dont understand the responces to comments of

    'mayweather faced EVERYONE'

    - um.... well, he didnt face cotto, he didnt face margarito, he didnt face williams, ect

'oh... um... well... ah hed beat them all!'

While Floyd did fight many of the best fighters in his weight range there are ALOT of fighters he never fought. Fretias, Casamayor, Spadafora, Dorin, Johnston, Tyszu, Cotto and Margarito.
