I think it's fair to say that both are superstars. Despite how annoying and corny floyd is and the fact that he isnt as a huge a draw as he thinks he is, he is still a big star nonetheless. Manny P is probably equally as big.

I personally believe that when it comes to huge events such as this one, the winner should take the higher amount. To hell with all this negotiating BS. If Floyd or Manny are so confident, then let their skills decide who gets more money.

It isnt fair that the losing fighter walks away with most of the money when both fighters are equally as marketable.

It doesnt have to be 60/40. Hell any variation would be fine (65/35, 70/30, etc...)

this will save all the fighting between floyd and arum.

History tells us this 10% goes to the winner **** doesn't work.

Do it at 50-50, there's too much money on the table for either team to turn down.

I dont have a problem with 50/50. I can just see both sides arguing over that b/c one side will believe they deserve more.

In my mind, I would say if you think you deserve more, then win the fight. PERIOD.

When were there ever a 10% cut waiting on the winner?

Roach already proposed the idea several times in the past and never did it work out. Arthur Abraham and his team proposed the idea for Pavlik, and offered to fight Sturm literally for free and that did not happen.

This is still a business for both men, and 10% equals likely millions of dollars. Why would not the 50-50 work, when there's millions and millions up for grabs, I bet Floyd had to let ODLH take the lions share for their fight, so he'd likely be happy with 50% against an equally big payday.

Although, I like to play with the idea of having bonuses for the winner.:think

The history that shows up us that no other mega fight has ever had a 'more to the winner' purse split.

I think Pac deserves more because they ARE NOT equally marketable. Pac's the man right now. But I would think 50/40 in favor of Pac and the winner gets the extra ten percent would be cool.

I already proposed the idea of 55/45 to the winner in another thread, wouldn't the extra 10% be the bonus?
You seem to be rubbishing the idea then coming up with a carbon copy idea
Can you get your facts straight and explain where the bonus comes from?

Not an outside bonus, I said I have played with the idea and it is intriguing. But it haven't worked, and we all know it has been proposed.
From a fans perspective, it's all good but not when there's millions and millions on the line, then I think it's rather natural for both men to cut the share.

Yet there is no data that says Pac is more marketable...it just feels that way. Look at the ppv history... It doesnt support the fact that Pac is "the draw" The fight will be the size it is because both a will be fighting eachother...if you to either fighter out and exchange for any other fighter then it won't be a mega fight. That fact alone supports 50-50...

How about they start putting some money on the undercard. You've got fighters making 8 digit purse a piece and give us some shitty undercards.
