I get it, he's benefitted greatly from corruption of all manners. I believe he lost to GGG twice quite clearly and was very lucky to come away with the results he did. I also believe he rigged the Kovalev fight in his favour using every sly little advantage he could. He's also a clear juicer but he's one of many in the sports, let's face it. BUT, the guy is an elite boxer, his skills are truly up there with the best. He also chases down some great fights, yes he may sometimes cherry pick how and when he faces the best guys but all in all he's been very good for boxing by being an active champion who goes for the best guys available in his weight class (for the most part). Now that he's thinking of facing Makabu, my favourite current fighter, I already see excuses from his most ardent haters inbound. He deserves credit for chasing that kind of greatness, I don't care what you think of the matchup. Facing a guy with the physical advantages Makabu has is no mean feat. This is an ATG move by an already clear ATG of this generation. I think I'm lucky to see such an impressive fighter in my time, there are definitely downsides to his career, but the positives far outweigh them.
I think most people understand he's an ATG. It's the fanboys as with any great fighter that always have to spoil it with spamming bs. We had it before with Floyd and Pac it's just the way it's always been.
That depends on what you think you know about being a man. From what I’ve seen, just about nothing. Maybe you project the wrong image, but I would swear you grew up without a father and learned what you know about men from your mom.
Hes an active fighter and thats rare nowadays i like that cause right now it seems most fighters are following the Gary Russell career patern of fighting once a year or not fight at all. With that said he could fight ten times a year and i wouldnt watch any of them lmao stop caring after GGG 2.
How anyone can act like a Super Middleweight deciding to moving up to Cruiserweight to fight a proven Cruiserweight Champ like Makabu is some kind of cake walk is beyond me. Most of the people trashing this fight had no clue who Makabu was and haven't even taken the time to evaluate his career or his technique as a fighter.
You know as well as I that it is path of least resistance and that isn't opinion it is based on what has happened upto this point. Canelo deserves props but not the hypebolic nonsense being spouted on this board by people like yourself. Also Canelo walks around close to this weight so it's not the same as say Duran or Pac moving up and conceding height and weight.
