I can agree with you on Benavidez. It's fight I would like to see at some point, but Canelo isn't ducking Benavidez or anything.

Please, shadow, you're a knowledgeable boxing fan - you know full well (even just based on your eye test) that either Bivol or Beterbiev would have a better chance against Canelo than Makabu does. Very few informed observers think Makabu is better than Bivol or Beterbiev, despite respecting Makabu for his heart and fighting spirit.

Mostly true, except a bit harsh on Beterbiev. He beat Gvozdyk, which is a pretty good win since Gvozdyk was lineal after dethroning Stevenson. Of course, that's no good for a 37 year old, but it isn't 0 wins of note.

Almost all of them don't have the money to lure people like Makabu into a fight. When you're Canelo, you can get who you want. Maybe GGG could get Makabu, but e.g. Beterbiev definitely couldn't.

A little harsh on some (all of these have fought some non-bums for sure), but I generally agree with your point. Canelo money is stopping some fighters taking risks.

This reasoning makes no sense to me. Tell me, what other champs could go up a division and beat a sitting champ, but choose to remain in a less marketable lower division, earning less money and completely ignoring legacy. Are bivol and Beterbiev the only ones, or do you see other underachievers in other weights?

He usually has a few lbs to spare when he weighs in, which suggests that he doesn't have to cut water to make 200 lbs. If he doesn't, 190 wouldn't be hard at all.

He is a great fighter and he beat Lil G both times in my considered opinion sleek style in the first fight and Mexican style in the second fight. On the Clenbuterol issue I am giving him the benefit of the doubt but it’s something he has to live down for the rest of his career. He beat Kovalev essentially because Krusher was gone after my guy SOG Andre Ward took his soul. As for facing Malibu my preference would be for him to face David Benaivides.

The only one that lived off corruption, deception and munched on carefully selected bums is Golovkin. The only thing he and his team aimed to attract were simpletons(like you) from social media.

The forum is hilarious, it's like a bunch of 40 year olds acting like 12 year olds.

So what if he came into the ring at 175 on fight night. That doesnt mean hes a full fledged 175lb fighter. Theres weight classes for a reason, and why fighters have to make weight the day before. Every boxer or fighter for that matter should be able to rehydrate to a comftorable weight. Cutting weight is one of the most hardest things to do, and it taxes the body. Of course you know this, and im sure you know the differences too.

LOL Serge the Canelo defender? I don't believe it! On other platforms?? So why are you trying so hard to be popular with the "cool kids" on this platform rather than show your true Canelo defending feelings?

I would encourage you to find your true inner self instead of trying so hard to give in to the hate in order to be popular so you can sit at the cool kids table. The haters of Canelo are not the cool kids trust me, these are miserable people with nothing better to do in their lives than hate on a man who has risen the sport we love to new heights by daring to be great in ways that only serve to elevate the sport. You are better than reducing yourself to a hater status in order to fit in. You said it yourself, you are a defender of Canelo on other platforms. So lets see all that here for a change. I think it's time to make some new friends and start saying your true feelings rather than hiding behind a veil of Canelo detracting. Don't get me wrong your comments are very entertaining for me to read and you have a great sense of humor, but you could be so much more. Canelo would love to have your support and it would be great to have you on board this journey as we watch a living legend continue to carve out a legacy.

Ok maybe it would be a larger jump for Bivol, but since he's done jack **** for two years he ought to one up Canelo. If he fights Briedis next I'll give him a pass :p

As far as low hanging fruit, low hanging fruit is making a living fighting a low end gatekeeper once a year.

I like Bivol, but he's part of what's wrong with boxing right now. I can't imagine that if he called Eddie Hearn and said "get me a real opponent" that it wouldn't happen. Even if it wasn't Canelo/Beterbiev there are a lot of decent tough outs at LHW that would be happy for a title shot. Maybe Vlasov or Callum Smith?

The world where these other beltholders are actually pulling their weight is so different from the one we live in it kind of blows your mind to picture it. Boxing is a thousand miles away from a place where we ought to complain about a guy who fights three champions in a row.

Really? When is it wrong to be moving up in weight and beating legit champions in those weight classes? Becoming undisputed sure is a plague on the sport lol.

You're saying that to me for giving Canelo credit where it's due but not going overboard by showering praise on the ground he walks upon? This coming from you of all people too smh.
