I thought it was a good stoppage, Paul McCloskey was going to get stretched out in the next 20 seconds or so.. The commentary was a ****ing disgrace, next time I'm going to listen to the commentary in Swahili so I don't have to listen to those moronic ****s.
Here here he would of got seriously hurt if the ref didn't stop the fight ! The ref actually got in the way to stop Corley from throughing any other shots while he took a look at him only for Corley to through him out the way which I thought was quite funny , mccloskey got well exposed as a domestic fighter and nothing more last night
I thought it was a poor stoppage, he was clearly hut but wasn't even given a chance to recover, the ref jumped in as soon as he did the chicken dance. At least let him cover up, hold, take a knee or go down from Corley following up, he wasn't that badly buzzed he should have been stopped without even going down, and he was till very much in the fight.
The stoppage was a little strange,IJL jumped in then relized **** i have to stop this now or it looks that he saved McCloskey if he then let it continue.Jim Watt reaction was so over the top when compared to his reaction to some foreign fighter s who get stopped way to early.
I was surprised at Jim Watt's reaction to it as there have been much worse stoppages by British refs with nary a word of complaint.
It looks like a bad stoppage but I think it was a good stoppage. You could have let it go on another 15 seconds to see if McCloskey had enough wits about him to move, hold, fight back etc However he was ****ed to his core. The punch zombified him and he became an extra in the walking dead. Even when the ref did step in and he tried to protest he was on unsteady legs. I didn't see anything to suggest that a Corley follow up could have been avoided. So it does look like a quick stoppage but when you look at his eyes and his body, I think he wasn't fit to continue and thus saved from being hurt.
I can't believe McCloskey is only euro level at best and Khan was well on his way to getting, at best, a draw against him after Paul's 2nd half onslaught. Makes you wonder what level Khan is it at.
He was two-three punches from snoozeville! Thought the ref read the scene pretty well. We see worse on undercards with prospects!
I thought it was a bad stoppage but no worse than what goes on every other week. he may have got knocked out if it had continued but he looked fine just after the stoppage although the punch clearly hurt him.
