Stoppage in the Corley - McCloskey fight..

    Don't know the specifics but McCloskey was up on all 3.

    Because they aren't allowed to.

    Another hometown decision was on the cards then, he was getting battered he is so easy to hit!

    Didnt know about the standing 8 count, maybe should be brought back as quite a few fights recently have been stopped when a standing count would have allowed the boxer to get through the round and re-group, if the minute between the rounds isnt long enough then they get stopped in the next anyway!

    Finally got to see it. I think it's more understandable in context of the whole fight rather than just viewed in isolation, like the last 20 seconds or whatever.

    In that context, I'm fine with the stoppage. Bit surprised, Corley seemed shot to buggery going into this fight, but stoppage was legit enough.
