Yeah as a southpaw straight left is pretty much the proven antidote for orthodox fighters. Every time I throw it I'm amazed at how easily it ****ing lands.

Again I am surprised that none of you understand mechanics of boxing.. Zab just didn't slow down on his own accord, and he didn't make floyd look ordinary.

Zab slowed because floyd figured out away to cut into Zab timing, and then used his high guard and counter punching pressure Zab and then slow him down with body shot.

Floyd biggest weapon is not his physical attributes its his ability to solve problems in the ring mainly styles, Roach knows this and he knows it going to take more then just fast hand and pressure to break floyd down.. In oder for pac not to become win number 41 for floyd, he must avoid being figured out. If Floyd figures Pac out in 4 rounds its a wrap and roach knows it.

I don't know why, you people repeat the same mistake every time, Floyd does not hit hard enough to hurt so in so ....

This is a LIE!!! they said the same thing when he fought Gatti, Hatton, corrales, and Hoya.. Floyd hit hard enough that you will not keep taking them on the Chin I don't care who you are, you can be KO that includes Pac.

Power and Speed is not the be all end all in boxing, other fighter with out these attributes have proved that you can win fight with out these attributes. Being able to out think your opponent is the biggest weapon any fighter can have.

Manny isn't Zab. If floyd goes high guard against Manny its over. Floyd will never be able to see where the hell the punches are coming from in a high guard. People say that Floyd is the greatest defense fighter ever. Maybe from his shell but in the high guard I can name off fighter after fighter who is better than him starting with Winki.

:patsch You miss the point entirely, when has floyd fought any fighter in the same manner ? if Floyd did fight in a high guard he would have better successes then Cotto did ..

A good example is the Zab, cotto, and floyd fights. Look at cotto face when he fought Zab coming straight forward compared to floyd's.... Cotto took a hella of a lot of punishment and was almost KOed, when he tried to walk zab down where floyd stood directly in front of Zab and took hardly and punishment at all .. Yes the man d is that Sick

Floyd not only uses a high guard, but timing , foot work , and head movement, he incorporates all of these quality into the guard.

Pac has to avoid being figured out, and inflect his own dose of punishment .

I noticed in Floyd's last fight against JMM that he uses his left hook (check hook) more often than his straight right. Pacquiao will like that.

Don't have an answer but its gonna be great to find out which wins the day

So he is going to invent a new defense on the fly against Manny. I love how people use the Zab fight as an example of his brains. And the only example. He went to the high guard after getting tagged by a southpaw. That not exactly ****ing rocket science. Whats next you going to tell me he is the most brilliant blackjack player as well because after loosing a lot of money he figured out that it was a good idea to double down on 11?

The point isn't that he was so smart the point is that he was so dumb to think that his shell would actually work against Judah.

Somebody is assuming Zab Judah is as durable as Manny Pacquiao at 147.

    I don't see it.

And Sting, that is a great point about Pac's reaction time.

ya dudes really think that pac can beat floyd...stop ****ing fooling ya selves......i give pac credit for his win over cotto but cotto aint been the same fighter since the 7th rd with margarito....i damn near predicted how that fight would go based on cottos performances against jennings and clottey....mayweather is on another level then these fighters and i see this fight going pacs way for the 1st 4rds then mayweather gradually breaking down pac with straight rights to the body and head and a left hook when pac wants to charge in with that looping right he has thrown more of....i have mayweather by ud 116-112

:deal Ive also been saying this for ages. Marquez is a p4p puncher also. When he countered manny he countered him hard with 3-4 punches at a time. People should look at the punch stats for the fight. But then again floyd has a longer reach and has much better reflexes and reactions time. However, watch the fights where he is actually going toe to toe with opponents, he gets caught in the exchanges and has to reset most of the time. Pacquiao just fires straight back when caught and his defence is best when he is in a brawl with his opponent e.g. 2nd knockdown of cotto pacquiao fight.

Could be true, Roach will know this too & prepare Pacquiao but he can only prepare him so much, FMJ is very fast with his punches & lazer accurate..... I truly feel that if Mayweather brings his A game - which he usually does even for lesser opponents - that he will beat Manny Pacquiao... both guys are in for the test of their lives... the winner MUST recieve full credit in this one, I think Mayweather will have too much for Manny tbh but Manny cannot be written off vs anyone, not even Mayweather.

I think Floyd is gonna have to be better than he was vs Marquez & invest in combination punching for a change here, Manny will likely recieve the nod in close rds due to the amount of punches he throws.... this fight must get signed soon, I cant wait for it, we will be witnessing history.

    :good

If you are correct, Manny Pacquiao will crack my top 10 all time... a Mayweather win will be by far his biggest victory but he is going to have to push himself to his absolute limit to pull this off.... despite Floyd being one of the least liked men in boxing, its crazy to deny the mans ability, he has mastered his craft no doubt... a far better fighter than his dad or uncle ever were.
