Mayweather is a good puncher, Manny cannot enter this fight expecting to laugh off Floyd`s power, it will cost him the fight for sure, the accumulation damage will tell in the last 3 rds, it might be enough to see Mayweather pull away in those critical rds. Pac must be prepared for everything possible in this fight, believe that ****.

Agreed. This notion of 'X cant hurt Y' is one of the most useless criteria used to predict a fight. The only thing that shows is that Y will lose the fight by UD. Pacquiao needs to limit PBF's countering oppurtunities but when he does attack, attack like usual. Also Manny needs to be fast enough to overcome the feflexes of floyd so he can hit him with punches he doesnt see coming.

he went to the high guard from the start of the fight you idiot.. If it not exactly rocket science you dumb ass, how many fighters today can stand directly in front of zab and not get hit or get some type of damage.. If you think it so easy, take a look at cotto face after 11 rounds and take a look at floyds face after 12..

The shoulder roll is not the only d floyd has but to a novice this would appear so .

JMM set it up by taking flush lefts from Pacquiao, being dropped several times in the process. I'm not so sure Floyd wants to follow that strategy.

I mean sure, if you absorb the lead left from Pacquiao you'll find him open for the counter right. Or if you can time him stepping in you'll be able to lead before he can get set. Zab was able to beat Mayweather to the lead though in a few situations. I'm not sure if Pacquiao is as fast as Zab but he's displayed some brilliant speed and combination punching that looks instinctive to me. Not to forget at 147 Pacquiao looks far more durable and energetic than Zab. Whatever Zab was able to do for 4 rounds Pac will be able to do for 8+.

First off you can't look at the way Mayweather fought Judah and expect Mayweather to fight Pac the same exact way just because they are both southpaws.

Mayweather didn't respect Judah at all and was looking to break him due to pressure. The pressure style is usually suited for power punchers to wear opponents out. Yet Mayweather with cronic bad hands used a pressure style not due to enourmous power but precision punches and great defense. How many times did he tag Judah's right and left lower ribs. Followed up by combos of straight rights and short left hooks to the head.

He isn't going to fight Pacman the same way though. He felt Judah was soft and folds under pressure, I don't believe he thinks Pacman will fold under pressure as Pacman hasn't really shown signs of a man that fold under pressure.

Mayweather is also not going to wait for Pacman in order to figure him out. He is going to go into the ring knowing that he has a 5inch reach on Pacman and that is the first thing he will look to utilize. He will look to throw jabs, jabs and more jabs to the body and head. It will be up to Pacman to stop that as those jabs will set up any and everything Mayweather will look to do. If Pacman can't stop that then it will be a long night for him. If Pacman can stop that then that is where the fight will begin.

The next phase would be Mayweather's reaction time and reach vs Pacman's speed. If Pacman looks to take control of the fight rather then let Mayweather jab him and looks to throw and land first. Then that is where Mayweather will look to time Pacman avoid and counter. The way Marquez was able to time Pacman avoid and counter very well. Except Mayweather has better phsyical tools to do so then Marquez. Pacman is going to have to be able to keep Mayweather guessing to where he is going with his punches. As if he looks to do the same moves then Mayweather will just time it and counter. That is why a jab is so important.

The straight right is key, yeah but Floyd will make his lead left hook a damn nightmare for Pacman as well. Pacquaio squares up before he attacks, Floyd will hit him with jabs, lead hooks and lead rights as soon as he does this. Pacman will most likely be confused as hell and get frustrated

I dont think he has the 5 inch reach advantage. See my thread on the GF which gives the tale of tape measurements for both manny's and mayweather's previous fights.
