Strange as it sounds, I'd love to see Winky Wright against Joe Calzaghe.

I'm convinced! This is all a big joke! Americans are clearly only pretending they don't think Joe Calzaghe is a fighter of legendary abilties, as some sort of sick, tasteless prank. It is the only explanation.

 

I'm a fan of Wright and don't really like Calzaghe as he's been a huge waste of talent for 95% of his career but I'd favour Calzaghe to win a close but unanimous decision. Calzaghe is no Trinidad or Mosley, he is naturally bigger and with his speed and workrate will simply be one step ahead throughout the whole fight. It could look a lot like Wrights fight against Harry Simon where he was simply out worked and out muscled.

 

I don't think it sounds strange. I think it sounds like a good fight.

 

Some of the post in this thread are laughable............"Winky beat him easily"........"Joe has no chance"................Jesus.....wake up...........An interesting contest but I'd have strong money on JC & thats not just because Im a fan its because he simply would have too much for Winky........

 

I'd go with Calzaghe by decision

 

Styles make fights. If you guys remember Soliman's high workrate against Wright, you'll see that Joe would be throwing from all angles, as someone else mentioned.

As for "Jermaine", Calzaghe would destroy him.
