Not Unpopular like last time. Just weird. Could be a cross over tho My obvious ones would be Ted kid Lewis, Tommy Loughran and Maxie Rosenbloom are all top 30 pfp Fitsimmons is at 20 Max Baer is the most naturally powerful HW ever...
The most outright bizzaire one I've seen was that Woolf Bendoff would beat Jack Johnson. I don't get how that could be an opinion someone would have. Edit: here it is https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/...hTerm=woolf bendoff&searchLimits=l-decade=194
About 60% of posters seems to believe that either a) size doesn't impact the result of a heavyweight contest or b) size is the most important thing when determining the outcome of a heavyweight contest. Neither of these things is remotely true and a reasonably educated group seems to hold either one view or the other. It's weird af.
Vasyl Lomachenko was very seasoned for the Pros, which is why I don't like excuses for the Salido bout. Joichiro Tatsuyoshi beats Hasegawa in a war. Ted Cheeseman is ugly. Jung Koo Chang is one of the best 'little men' ever (strange to some). Chang's afro was better than Sanchez's (very close). GGG has good defensive skills. James toney was a natural Light heavy / Cruiserweight. Boxing is a cyclical sport, not linear.
Vitaly Klitschko - is the greatest H2H heavyweight of all time. Very few ATG would match up well against him, and almost none would be favored. JCC would have beaten De la Hoya in the first match had he not been cut. Joe Louis is overrated by most people, and Max Baer may have beat him had he not broken his hand in the fight.
To me this one is interesting, do you think the cycle has repeated itself or do you think we're in the first? I can't see any way of it going back to the old school days of 300 fights a career and old school reffing and grappling
James Jeffries was skilled fighter who could have become GOAT HW had he fought longer and retired later.
Not Judging. Much lol. But can you explain why? I genuinely think he loses to his brother and a plethora of others
As for my own unusual opinions Rating Fitz as No.1 P4P ever Rating Jack Johmson No.3 heavyweight (not H2H) Rating Max Schemling over Jersey Joe Walcott
