I have searched everywhere to verify the validity of this but the following poster says: Did anyone else hear this on ESPN? How ironic that would be.
Probably the same bull**** as his "ruptured eardrum" in the McCline fight, they are already preparing excuses in case he looks like **** again. If it was a serious injury he wouldn't fight and he wouldn't be allowed to fight.
Well it looks like they aren't trying to cancel it. At this point I'm just going by what the other poster said. I am going to email ESPN and see what they say.
Someone posted about five or six links which mentioned that a ruptured eardrum doesn't effect your equilbrium so even then the excuse is caca. At the same time, the excuse might have been similar to the whole "he broke his hand" excuse that people keep kicking around.
****. hope not. i've been banking on a great autumn. last spring was terrible for fights being cancelled.
That'd be a good fight while it lasted, but Golota wouldn't make it in that fight. I'd rather see Golota fight Valuev or Chagaev.
probably an excuse for when Peter weighs in at a career high for the fight. But, he has been training for over 5 months so there is no excuse for Peter to be at a career high in weight. :rofl
